23. Asphalt Storage Tank Heater with Thermosyphon Technology

Description:

The main objective of this project is to develop two-phase thermosyphon technology for asphalt tanks heating. Two particular devices are studied. The first is a more conventional thermosyphon heat exchanger, such as a thermosyphon bundle in parallel. The second device is a loop thermosyphon, in which the condenser geometry is similar to that of vapor coil already installed inside the storage tank.
