4. Flame-furnace Thermal Interaction Study of Fuel Burning and its Impact on Energy Efficiency

Description:

This project is focused on the study of both theory and experimental observations of burning processes of several fuel types, more particularly natural gas, in order to map its radiation and convection heat transfer modes. Results are used in a natural gas combustion chamber for an asphalt storage tank heater, as well as in ovens in general. The burners studied were of medium (i.e. bakery ovens, biscuit ovens, grain dryers, among others) and large power outputs (asphalt tank heating).
